Childcare
Each week children from Kingdom Kids – Carbrook venture down to the farm to undertake a variety of learning experiences.
Children deeply enjoy feeding the animals, collecting eggs and eating fresh produce. This time is very tactile to help further develop their senses and confidence around animals. The older children learn farm safety, how we care for our animals and how we grow plants to produce food to eat. They even have the opportunity to cook the freshly laid eggs.
Our Agriculture team also help to maintain the Bush Kindy area which is found at the back of the farm on the banks of the Logan River. This area gives the Kingdom Kids children an opportunity to investigate and imagine as they explore this special part of the farm. Gunyas are built, stories are created, and imagination comes to life.
These experiences in the gardens and grounds, and interactions with our animals grow children’s resilience and confidence, and give them an opportunity to explore the natural world.
Children at Kingdom Kids - Springwood enjoy weekly visits from Farmer H. Together we explore agriculture in a slightly different context. Students are always very keen to explore the many agricultural items that are available for them to touch, explore, and eat.
