Dear Parents and Guardians
It has been wonderful to reconnect with families this week through our Parent–Teacher Interviews. We greatly value these opportunities to come together in partnership, celebrate student growth, reflect on progress and work collaboratively towards meaningful goals for the future. The strongest learning happens when home and school work together, and we appreciate the commitment families show in supporting their child’s learning journey.
This term, our Junior School assemblies will begin unpacking some of the characters from the Superflex program as part of our Formation focus. Through these characters, students are learning to recognise different thinking patterns and behaviours that can impact how we learn, connect and respond to challenges. Characters such as Superflex, who represents flexible thinking, and the Unthinkables, who represent common “thinking traps” we can all experience, provide students with a shared language to understand themselves and others.
By exploring these concepts, students are developing important social and emotional skills including self-awareness, problem-solving, empathy and positive decision-making. We look forward to seeing how these ideas continue to strengthen our students’ relationships and learning habits throughout the term.
NAPLAN
Year 3 & 5 students have/will be bringing home their 2026 NAPLAN results. Please note that these reports will also be available with your child’s Academic Reports via the Parent Portal.
Non-Government Schools Census
The census provides information about your school and the number and characteristics of the school’s staff and student body during a specific reference period. The names of students and staff are not collected, apart from the name, position and contact details of the staff member nominated as the primary contact for the census.
Please use this link to view the 2026 Census Collection Notice.
If you have any questions about the Census process, please email the College via governance@calvarycc.qld.edu.au
