Dear Parents and Carers,

This week we farewelled our Year 6 students as they headed off to Canberra on Tuesday. This exciting experience provides a valuable opportunity for them to explore our nation’s capital, deepen their understanding of Australia’s history and government, and continue to grow in independence and resilience. We wish them a safe and rewarding trip and look forward to hearing about their experiences on their return.

Across the Junior School this term, our Formation focus is on building the skills needed for healthy friendships. Students will be developing their understanding of communication, empathy, managing conflict and maintaining positive relationships. We are supported in this work through the Friendology program by URSTRONG, which provides a shared language and practical strategies for students. Families are encouraged to explore the parent resources available through URSTRONG all you need to do is add your details and enter Calvary Christian College using the following link:  For Parents | URSTRONG .

A friendly reminder to help keep all members of our community safe during afternoon pick-up. All Junior School students must be collected by a parent or carer and should not walk to cars independently. We also ask that all pedestrians use the designated crossing. These procedures are in place to ensure the safety of every child, particularly during our busiest times of the day.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our community safe and connected.

ANZAC Day Orchestra and Choir

What a joy to hear and see our combined Orchestra join together for ANZAC Day Ceremonies at Carbrook. Playing Amazing Grace for the laying of the Wreath, and both the New Zealand and Australian National Anthems, they joined with the Voices and MSS Choir, showing how team work can achieve great things. Our Orchestra is looking forward to performing for Springwood next week at assembly.
