Dear Parents and Guardians

This week we were grateful to welcome our school Police, who shared an age-appropriate ThinkUKnow presentation with students focused on online safety. These important conversations help students understand how to navigate the digital world with wisdom, care and responsibility. Online safety is not a one-off conversation; it is something we continue to revisit both at home and at school as we partner together to equip our students to become responsible digital citizens who make thoughtful choices about their online interactions.

This learning is an important part of our character and faith formation. As students grow in their understanding of respect, kindness, self-control and responsibility, they are learning that these values extend into every part of their lives — including their digital spaces. We encourage students to consider how their choices online reflect who they are and how they can use technology in ways that honour others and contribute positively to their communities.

As we approach the beginning of the Brisbane Ekka, our Calvary farm is once again enriched with the exciting arrival of new lambs. Ekka opportunities are available for Calvary students from Prep to Year 12, showcasing the creativity, dedication and learning of our students across the College.

If you are attending the Ekka, we encourage you to visit our animals, support our student livestock judging and explore the Education on Show entries. Our Junior School students have been busy bringing their imagination to life through their Ekka caterpillars and farm scape creations, and we are excited to see their thoughtful work celebrated.

Ekka Holiday - Monday 10 August

Please note that Monday 10 August is the Logan Ekka Holiday and as such the College will be closed for the day.

Back to School Boost Payment

The College has received the Back to School Boost payment, a Queensland Government cost-of-living relief initiative that provides an annual $100 credit for each primary school student (Prep to Year 6).

This initiative is not paid directly to families. Instead, the funds have been applied as a credit to your student’s school fee account.

Your next fee statement will reflect a $100 credit, reducing your outstanding balance for Term 4.  If your 2026 school fees have already been paid in full, the credit will be carried forward and applied to your 2027 fees.

If you have any questions please contact fees on 07 3287 6222 or via fees@cavlarycc.qld.edu.au

Donation Drive

A very big thank you to the families across the College who donated items to our Term 2 Winter Warmers campaign. Your generosity was greatly appreciated. Following discussions with David Armstrong, Principal of Tara Shire State College, we have identified two items that would be particularly helpful for students in Years 4–8: sports shoes and royal blue jumpers that can be worn to school as part of the school colours.

Students and families in the Junior School are invited to donate a royal blue jumper or a pair of sports shoes if they would like to contribute to this very worthy cause. Middle/Senior school students will be collecting these items from 8 August. Students can bring them into the classroom, ready for collection from then.
