Coming Up...

Sth Coast Cross Country, Stage 1 Excursion, College Leader Assembly, CAPA Soiree and Farm Angels Quiz Night

Head of Junior School Carbrook - Zoe O'Donnell

Dear Parents and Carers,

I have had the pleasure of spending the beginning of this week at Year 5 Camp at Coolum, where students have been embracing a wide range of beach and adventure activities despite some wet weather along the way. It was wonderful to see our students stepping outside their comfort zones, working together and demonstrating leadership through the way they make decisions, encourage one another and approach new challenges. Experiences like camp provide rich opportunities for students to grow in resilience, independence and teamwork, and our Year 5 cohort has represented the College beautifully.

A reminder that Stage 2 and Stage 3 College Leader applications are due tomorrow. We encourage students who have demonstrated ongoing service to the College community to consider applying using the attached application form.

College Leader Application

Successful applicants will be acknowledge at the College Leaders Assembly Thursday 4 June.

Today, the Junior School also had the opportunity to enjoy The Wiz, performed by the talented Calvary Performing Arts team. Students were captivated by the creativity, energy and talent on display. There is still time to secure tickets, and we warmly encourage families to come along and enjoy this fantastic production together.

Tickets can be purchased HERE.

Under 8's Day

Our Prep and Stage 1 students will be celebrating Under 8’s Day tomorrow with a jumping castle, creative dance, face painting, petting farm, and many other fun activities. Sadly, the pony company is unable to provide the ponies this year, and we were unable to secure an alternative booking.

Stage Parent Call Out

Mrs Zoe O'Donnell is seeking expressions of interest from parents who would like to assist as a Stage Parent, providing information and support to families.  More information in the letter below:

Chinchilla Trip Donations

Each year, our Year 9 students travel to Chinchilla and Tara Shire for their Service Trip in September. As part of this initiative, we are collecting donations of shoes, warm blankets, and winter clothing for students at Tara Shire State College, where many families would benefit from additional support. In the Middle and Senior School, these donations will replace the usual gold coin contribution for Free Dress at the end of the term; students can bring their items to Form class throughout the term, where their donation will be recorded and permission for Free Dress granted.

Booklist Provider Feedback

The Junior School is seeking feedback from our community on your experience with our new stationery provider, Officeworks.

Your feedback is highly valued and will help us ensure we are meeting the needs of our families. Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your thoughts.  Responses are anonymous.

CAPA Update

The Wiz Musical

What an amazing Matinee we had today! All of Springwood Stage 2 & 3, and Carbrook Prep to Stage 4 enjoyed an adventure down the Yellow Brick Road today, with Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion. We met Addaperle, had many adventures, visited Munchkins, Oz City and THE WIZ, Evillene and the Winkies, and with Glinda's help, realized that home is always where our heart is -  and where we belong.

Thank you so much to our incredible cast for a fabulous first show - and don't forget - tickets are still available for our three evening shows - join us for an unforgettable journey!

Tickets can be purchased HERE.
