Dear Parents and Carers,
This week captured our purpose at Calvary, authentic learning that shapes both knowledge and character. With the culmination of Exhibition and The Good News Week, the heart of our Junior School was on vibrant display.
What an amazing Exhibition of Learning we shared yesterday! It was such a joy to see our students taking pride and ownership of their learning, engaging deeply with their topics and confidently sharing their ideas. As you know, our Junior School has been focusing on Social Justice this term—a powerful way to teach our students to love others, be inclusive and see that they can make a difference in God’s world. We are so proud of their growth and encouraged by their hearts in action!
In line with our ongoing focus on resilience, we know that a first attempt is not always the final word, it’s often through practice, feedback and a willingness to try again that true growth happens. At home, you may see similar opportunities in everyday routines, whether it’s making a bed, helping with the dishes, or unpacking a school bag. Sometimes encouraging children to take a second look and try again helps them discover just how capable they really are. Most importantly, the sense of pride that comes from doing something well is a wonderful gift for them to carry forward.
Car Park Reminder
Staff on duty at the Western Car Park have observed a number of students weaving between cars as they walk into the College. To ensure everyone’s safety, we kindly ask parents to assist by modelling safe car park behaviour by guiding students around parked cars and encourage them to use the pedestrian crossings available.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and for modelling the behaviour we need them to follow.
Old Uniform Drive
The college has been accepting donations of old uniform items to send to charity for use overseas. Donations will continue to be accepted until the end of this term. Please bring items to Reception at either campus.
Pupil Free Day
Just a reminder to all parents that next Friday, 5 September 2025, is a Pupil-Free Day. On this day, staff will be engaged in a range of professional development opportunities.
