Head of Community & Wellbeing, Springwood Junior School - Andy Marshall
As we move through this week, there is a noticeable sense of calm across the school as we begin to hit our stride with routines and expectations, particularly in the mornings. Students are settling quickly and starting each day with focus and purpose. Thank you to our parents for your ongoing support in ensuring children arrive on time and ready to learn, in correct uniform and with packed lunches and everything they need for the day ahead. Your partnership truly makes a difference.
There is also a real sense of excitement building as we head toward the end of the week. Our Book Fair is now open in the Hub, with families able to purchase books before and after school today and tomorrow, up until 11.00am. It’s a wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading and discover new favourites.
Tomorrow we are delighted to celebrate Grandparents Day, welcoming our special visitors for a morning beginning with breakfast in the Undercover Area, followed by our mini concert starting at 9.00am, which will showcase all of our students, and then time in classrooms to share activities together. It promises to be a joyful celebration as our community comes together.
NAPLAN
External NAPLAN testing commences for our Years 3 & 5 students during Week 7, Wednesday 11 March 2026.
