Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a wonderful start to the term, with students returning settled, positive, and ready to learn. It has been especially encouraging to see the way they are supporting one another, showing kindness, and living out our school values of being fair, kind and their best selves in the classroom and playground.
Last Friday’s ANZAC Day service was a meaningful time of reflection for our community, and we thank those who also proudly represented our school at the march on Saturday.
This week, our Year 6 students are in Canberra, engaging in rich and memorable learning experiences. They are to be commended for the way they are representing our school with respect and enthusiasm throughout the trip.
Finally, thank you to our parents for your ongoing support, particularly in ensuring correct uniform, punctual arrivals, and safe, considerate parking each day.
Celebrate Mother’s Day with a Sweet Treat
Our Hospitality students are running a mini event where we are selling beautiful handmade biscuit gift boxes, perfect for showing Mum how much she’s loved.
Each box includes a selection of 3 decorated biscuits, carefully baked and packaged by students. Each box will contain biscuits individually packaged, inside a large box with a clear lid and ribbon, perfect to gift to mum.
Please note: unfortunately, we are unable to cater for special dietary requirements. Ingredients include butter, caster sugar, custard powder, egg, vanilla, plain flour, baking powder, and fondant.
$8 per box
Orders close: 9.00am Monday 4 May

CAPA Update
ANZAC Day Orchestra and Choir
What a joy to hear and see our combined Orchestra join together for ANZAC Day Ceremonies at Carbrook. Playing Amazing Grace for the laying of the Wreath, and both the New Zealand and Australian National Anthems, the students showed how team work can achieve great things. Our Orchestra is looking forward to performing for Springwood next week at assembly.
Sunset Soiree
Thursday June 4, at the Carbrook Campus. All students who take private lessons will have the opportunity to perform, in a more relaxed style of concert, with smaller performance stages, centered around the Mango Café, from 4 – 5:15pm.
We then move to a traditional style concert in the CCC from 5:30 – 6:30pm.
The following groups will perform:
- Sports Aerobics (SWD & CBK)
- Beginner Strings (SWD and CBK Combined)
- Junior Band (SWD and CBK Combined)
- Junior Strings (SWD)
- String Ensemble (CBK)
- Senior Band (SWD & CBK Combined)
- Voices Choir (SWD & CBK – one item each and one combined)
- Percussion (SWD & CBK)
- Handbells (SWD & CBK)
- Guitar Ensemble (SWD & CBK)
- Eisteddfod Dance (SWD & CBK)
