Head of Community & Welfare, Junior School - Michelle Sprenger
Dear Parents and Carers,
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed following the updates and photos from our Year 6 Canberra trip this week. For many students, this camp has been something they’ve looked forward to since their earliest days at Calvary. It is another milestone moment where we see our students increase their capability by taking initiative, managing themselves independently, and persisting no matter their comfort level.
As we focus on resilience this term, it’s been encouraging to see students stepping up to new challenges with courage and maturity. Whether it’s navigating a busy itinerary, being away from home, or embracing the learning opportunities in our nation’s capital, our students are demonstrating what it means to stretch beyond comfort and grow stronger for it.
A huge thank you to the staff supporting our students through this formative experience, and to families for your trust and encouragement.
Netball Primary Schools Cup
Calvary is planning to enter two teams Into the Netball Queensland Primary School Cup on 20-21 September. Please see information letter for trial registration and competition details.

The celebration will culminate in our annual Book Week Dress-Up Parade, 9.00am Wednesday 20 August at Real Life Christian Church. Parents are welcome to attend. On this day, Students are encouraged to dress up as an appropriate book character and, where possible, bring the book that relates to their character.
