About Springwood Campus
Welcome to our Springwood Campus!
Calvary Christian College, Springwood campus offers an authentic, Christian education to students from Pre Prep through to Year 6, (and beyond at our Carbrook campus). Situated amongst the picturesque Daisy Hill Forest, along Dennis Rd, our inquiry-based teaching and learning model takes advantage of the natural bush surrounds. From Bush Kindy to outdoor learning days, students learn from an early age to appreciate and adopt a commitment to service and stewardship, in their interactions with each each other and towards all of creation. The Springwood campus values community and connection. Students engage in a number of activities that bond them across the stages, creating a family atmosphere that we invite all to experience. Discover Calvary’s vibrant community for yourself, at the Springwood campus.

Learning Model
Exceptional Learning takes place within stages of learning.
Our stage-based learning community provides flexibility for children to learn at their point of stretch; whether they are ready for extended learning or need to revisit areas they may have not yet grasped. Working in stages provides students with a team of learnign designers, invested in personalising the learning experience of each child. We believe children grow in confidence when they, too, become part of the learning team. They develop learning habits such as communication skills, resilience, creativity and resourcefulness, equipping them for a life of learning.
A strong team of quality educators, as well as positive relationships between your child and their learning designers, underpins a successful year at school. Calvary delivers a teaching and learning framework that serves the vision for your child’s future.

Facilities
Learning takes place in flexible, open spaces that provide a range of resources to enhance each child’s learning. Beyond the classroom, our students are regularly involved in inter-school competitions, and our facilities support their training for these. Whether it be the multipurpose courts and grassed oval, our STEM space (The Hub), Performing Arts centre, bush Chapel, Early Years centre or playgrounds – students at Calvary Springwood campus, are provided with the resources and facilities they need to stretch to their best.
Happy Hens
Happy Hens Café plays an integral part in bringing our Springwood community together. It is Calvary’s own student-run café. It is here that our students develop real -world life skills of leadership, communication, business and finance mindedness, and much more. Families take the opportunity to come to school a little earlier to enjoy something from the menu before the day gets underway. Happy Hens is a place where our sense of mission is strengthened, as we see the fruit of it out-played in our students as they transfer their skills and confidence to other areas of their lives.
Vibrant Community
One of the many highlights of Springwood is our close - knit community. All the students and staff know each other and our families feel welcomed and very much a part of the mission at Calvary. We know that when parents and school work together, our students benefit greatly, and this is seen and felt through a number of initiatives. Family members are welcome to join our Assemblies and Chapel services, we hold community nights for families to come together and have fun – pizza and movie night, Father’s family fun night, Aussie Night and our end of year Bush Dance.
Where possible, we want to showcase the skills and learning of our students through Learning Exhibitions. Our end of year Celebration evening and Awards ceremonies are also a highlight. Our students are to be celebrated and nothing encourages them more than sharing this with their family and friends.
Pre Prep - Kingdom Kids
Kingdom Kids – Noah Centre, is where our youngest minds are nurtured. Our Pre Prep program includes naturally embedded opportunities to connect with the Junior School, making the transition from Pre Prep to Prep smooth. The authentic links between Pre Prep and Prep are evident through our play-based approach, visits to the Library, Chapel, visits from our Chaplain and to the Prep learning space later in the year. Noah Centre is a positive start to your child’s journey at Calvary, Springwood campus.
