Student Development
Carlee Johnston
Head of Student Development
The Student Development Team supports the holistic development of our students. This includes their emotional, social, physical and spiritual needs as well as their cognitive development. The team is made up of psychologists, counsellors, learning development coordinators, learning assistants, chaplains and a nurse.
Our purpose is to see students “ . . . experience a state of wellbeing, where every individual realises his or her potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community” (WHO, 2014).
Our team approach to student development includes:
- direct and indirect interventions implemented at multiple levels within the school,
- prioritising early intervention,
- the proactive development of social and emotional skills supporting character formation
- faith formation.
Virtual Counselling Room
We invite you to visit Calvary's virtual counselling room. Within the page there are four coloured zones to help navigate how you are feeling. Each coloured zone opens a room of strategies to help understand and manage those feelings.
