Dear Parents and Carers,
I think what I love most about this time of year is that we see more of our parents and friends on campus for the end of year events. When they have their family, staff and peers to shine for there is a noticeable, positive difference in the students. 😊
Stage 3
I am very proud to announce the Junior School Captain team for 2025.
All students in Stage 2 and 3 will have the opportunity to apply for a College Leader position in Term 1 and 2 of 2025. College leaders have evidence of consistent, committed service to an area of their passion or interest within the school. If your child would like to step up as a leader, I would recommend starting a conversation with them about where they could serve, when and how often.
Awards Assembly
Ephesians 2:10 tells us, ‘For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.’ This was certainly on display yesterday as the students inspired each other through their achievement in sport, performing arts, academics and personal growth. The most beautiful view from stage was watching all the students congratulate and encourage each other in their achievement. It was lovely to see so many parents and family members cheering students on as well. Congratulations to everyone involved.
Stepping Up to the Next Stage
Next Friday 22 November, those Year 6 students continuing at Calvary are attending their Transition Day to Year 7 at the Carbrook campus. Parents have been invited to attend an important information session regarding the upcoming Year 7 camp as well as details about this new season of high school.
Meanwhile, all students in the Junior School, as well as our new students attending Calvary in 2025, will be stepping up to their next Stage for the morning session. This transition time will be a chance for students to ask questions, make friends and feel comfortable in their 2025 stage environment. All information about 2025 classes and teachers will be emailed to parents in early January.
Celebration
Our Celebration event is drawing near. The student’s rehearsals are going so well, and we have costumes coming together. Don’t forget, this event is held on the bottom oval and is BYO seating – camping chairs or picnic rugs.
Wet weather plan – Please keep in mind that if we cannot run our outdoor Celebration event due to weather, the whole event will still go ahead at the same time at Calvary Community Centre, Carbrook Campus, 559 Beenleigh Redland Bay Road.
Please pray the weather is favourable for our Celebration.
As we enter the final weeks of term, I hope you can enjoy – as we do- seeing the growth and progress your children are making.
