Netball
The Calvary Netball Program is inclusive for all students from Year 3 at both our Springwood and Carbrook campuses, through to Year 12. Beginners and experienced players alike are all encouraged to play. Our training sessions utilise an extensive coaching group of staff, parents and alumni.
Our young Junior school students are introduced to netball through the Net Set Go program both at school and at the weekend though the Underwood Park Netball Association, of which Calvary Netball Club is a member. We actively encourage boys to play and we have a number boys and mixed teams competing in tournaments across the year.
Our netball teams have the opportunity to play in an extensive range of competitions, including:
• Pacific District Championships
• CSSAQ Tournament
• Vicki Wilson Shield and Cup
• Primary School Cup
• Saturday competition at UPNA
• Calvary Invitational Tournaments and Gala Days
• Friendly matches with local schools
The College has ties to: our local netball association UPNA, Netball Queensland, Queensland Suns Mixed and Men’s Netball Association. Calvary Netball is proud of the outstanding efforts and achievements of our students and alumni, but more importantly, we aim to foster a love of the game and to develop players of good character.
