Principal Communications, 13 November 2023

Dear Parents/Carers

It is my pleasure to share with you today that, after an internal recruitment process, Zoe O’Donnell has accepted the position of Acting Head of Junior School on the Carbrook campus as we move into 2024. I also want to honour Zoe for stepping into the Acting role with very little notice in terms 2 and 4 this year. In both terms she has worked collaboratively with Carlee Johnston who was backfilling Zoe’s Head of Wellbeing role while also managing much of her own role. Both of these leaders have gone above and beyond in serving our community this year and I thank them for this.

We are currently recruiting internally for an Acting Head of Wellbeing to backfill Zoe’s role in 2024.

As a senior executive position, the Head of Junior School role will be advertised externally in early 2024 and go through a rigorous recruitment process. We expect a permanent appointment would be made mid to late 2024.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the Awards assemblies this week and at Valedictory on Friday, as we celebrate those who have engaged  in ‘stretch’ and succeeded both in high levels of achievement and in making significant learning progress. We also celebrate with our graduates this milestone in their lives as we confidently send them out into the world filled with hope and either ‘faith-filled’ or ‘faith-ready’ to make a positive difference in the world.

Yours sincerely
