Principal Communications, 03 June 2024

Dear Parents and Carers

As we head into June, the final month of this financial year for Australians’ personal and business tax purposes, many of us are finalising our giving to tax deductible charities. If this is on your radar, I remind you that the College has a building fund to which we encourage you to contribute as you are able.

We welcome your support of the building fund to help us achieve our aspiration of providing quality, fit-for-purpose facilities for your children.

Recent projects funded with your help have been the improvements to CAPA, farm and sports facilities as well as our cafes on both campuses. We still have some science lab refurbishments, the upgrading of the hospitality kitchen at Carbrook and the introduction of science lab facilities at the Springwood campus on our list of projects.

Another aspiration is to continue to install the flexible doors across our Junior School classrooms on both campuses to upgrade the original less flexible room dividers. I encourage you to visit the Prep rooms and Stage 2 at Springwood or the Culbert at Carbrook to see examples of what we hope to achieve. We would like to provide these doors in Stage 3 upstairs in the Florence Young building while Carbrook Junior School staff would also welcome such doors in their teaching rooms.

While we make provision for regular repairs and maintenance to our buildings and for carefully selected CAPEX projects, we can accelerate our delivery on CAPEX projects with an injection into the building fund.

For all contributions received before 30 June, you will be provided with the receipts needed to claim your tax deduction. Your ‘over and above’ support of our efforts to provide the best facilities we can for your children is always greatly appreciated.

To donate to the Building Fund please transfer into the College’s Westpac Bank Account. The details are -
