Dear Parents and Carers,

We are all life – long learners and last Friday's Pupil Free day was a welcome opportunity for staff to come together and learn from each other. Amongst other professional learning, in preparation for the Creativity unit next term, we put our design thinking to the test and had some fun completing team design challenges. This put everyone in a great headspace to map an exciting program for each stage next term.

Showcase is this Saturday evening and we have a large number of students involved across the college from Prep – Year 12. Book your tickets and enjoy seeing individual instrumental performances, as well as ensembles, orchestral and dance performances. This year's theme is Postcards from around the World, with students performing pieces from all different countries. Our Senior School students are looking forward to hosting an entertaining and engaging event for the community. We hope to see you there.

Drought Angels - Supplies Collection

Stage 3 wish to thank those who have already supported their School Supplies collection drive for Drought Angels.  Please bring items to the Office tomorrow, Friday 8 September, where they will be sent with our MSS students, to Drought Angels head office, in Chinchilla next week.  Alternatively, Drought Angels would love support for their annual Christmas Drive, where they arrange for Christmas presents for children each year in families doing it tough.  This year they'd love to also bless the adults with a Christmas surprise.  Please see the link below if you wish to contribute.

Compassion Australia

Our Missions Club are also supporting Compassion Australia's - Step Into My Shoes Campaign.  Students and/or families are encouraged to take part in this fundraising initiative over the school holidays.  Please see information below.

Now that we are coming back into warmer weather, it is time to check our uniform status. Black, formal shoes are to be worn with the formal uniform please (not joggers). Girls are welcome to wear grey tights under dresses if we still have cooler mornings, but please bring socks if they want to change throughout the day. Bike pants can be worn under dresses but should not be longer than the dress. Please be aware that staff will email parents if children are coming to school in the incorrect uniform.

Term 4 Tuckshop

We are looking for parent volunteers for our Term 4 Tuckshop roster. Please consider offering some time helping Sheryl prepare food and serve the students. We need helpers on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. You can click on the link below to put your name down for a day and time that suits you. Whether you can help out weekly or only once or a few times in the term – it all helps!

Praying for good health, energy and joy as we enter the last week of Term 3!
