Parent Teacher Interviews, NAPLAN, Chapel & Stage 3 Interschool Sport
Dear Parents and Carers,
Congratulations to our Stage 2 and 3 students who participated in the Brisbane Metro Futsal competition yesterday. It was a huge day with 8 teams playing 3-5 games each. There were some great wins and tough losses, but several teams have qualified for finals day. Their persistence and investment in training with Mr McInnes is paying off and we are proud of their efforts.
Emma Tabacaru Parent Session / Student Disco
The Carbrook campus is hosting Emma Tabacarau for parent information sessions this evening. If your child is attending the student disco while the parent session is on, please drop them at the CCC, prior to heading to the Culbert for your session.
Attending this parent session will also give you insight on what the Stage 3 Students will be hearing about on Monday 4 March, when Emma will speak with our Stage 3 Students. The Year 5&6 session will be about Puberty and Year 6 will also hear about Babies & Bonding.
Springwood Campus Photo Day
REMINDER - Springwood Campus School Photo day is this Tuesday 5 March. Envelopes have been sent home and need to be brought back on the day. Sibling Photo envelopes are available at the office.
All photos will be taken in the Library/The Hub. Please see the Schedule below:
NAPLAN
If your child is in Year 3 or 5 this year, they are due to sit their NAPLAN tests in Week 8 this term. Please see the attached letter with all the details about this test.
Parent Teacher Interviews
Parent Teacher Interviews are being held on Tuesday 12 and Thursday 14 March. Teachers are available on these days after school hours to discuss any questions you may have and set goals for your child’s learning.

Grandparents' Day - Breakfast Donations 2024
Tomorrow morning we expect a few hundred of our favourite family members to be on campus for Grandparents' Day!
Don’t’ forget – Book Fair has officially opened in the Hub. Students, parents and grandparents can purchase books before school tomorrow from 8am – 11am.
We appreciate those who are able to contribute towards our Breakfast for the Grandparent's. Please take you food donations straight to the undercover area after 8.00am where there will be tables set up. We appreciate your support to make this event a success.
Looking forward to our time together tomorrow morning and seeing the students light up with our special guests on campus.

Stage 3 Interschool Sports commences tomorrow after Grandparents' Day.
Welcome to Week 6. It is great to hear music playing around the campus both in ensembles and individual students.
We welcome to the department Mr Xavier Groth who is the new cello teacher for the rest of the term. Mr Groth is an exceptional cello player and teacher and is looking forward to working with the students as they develop their skills. The Performing Arts Department welcomes Mr Groth to the College.

Events @ Calvary - Bush Dance
On Friday 22 March the College is hosting it's annual Bush dance. Proceeds of this event will be going towards our Year 9 service trip to Chinchilla and more specifically Drought Angels. Parents and students from both campuses are welcome to join us from 6.30pm until 8.30pm on the ANZAC Lawn. We are very fortunate to have the very experienced and enthusiastic band for the evening Beefa's Bush Band performing and hosting the event for us again. Please note that there will be food and drinks on sale and a photo booth to take some memorable pictures of friends and family on the night.
