Dear Parents and Carers,

Once again, we were blessed by the turn out to Grandparents' Day. Thank you to all who contributed to the breakfast. Thank you to our grandparents for taking the time to mentor and encourage the students. The beautiful thing is that we don’t have to wait another year to see you again, you are always welcome!

SCHOLASTIC BOOKFAIR

Just an update on the success of Book Fair this year. With around $5000 in sales at the Springwood campus, the library will receive up to $1300 in the form of Scholastic points to spend on new resources. This is amazing! Thank you for supporting both Book Fair and the Scholastic Book Club.

METROPOLITAN EAST CROSS COUNTRY

Earlier this week, Emily Day, Tobin McInnes, Daniel Mauger, Charlotte Snelling and Reilly McInnes participated in the regional, Metropolitan East Cross Country event. Congratulations to you all for an outstanding achievement. We wish Charlotte all the best as she will be competing at the State level with the Met East team later in the year.

UNDER 8’s DAY / PREP TOURS

Next Wednesday is a very exciting day for our little ones. Under 8’s Day is a celebration of the early years. Our Pre Prep – Year 2 students enjoy a morning of fun through play as they explore a variety of hands-on activities from staff including, jumping castles, a petting zoo and more. Under 8’s kicks off from 9.00am. Parent helpers are welcome and appreciated!  Please email your teacher if you can assist with accompanying your child, and friend or two, around the activities.
We are also running tours through the Prep room from 8.30am for the Calvary and wider community.

Parents are welcome to come and spectate or volunteer to help. The students have been training through the morning Athletics Club but also in their PE lessons. We look forward to an exciting day!

Mr McInnes is in need of some Parent Helpers at the upcoming Athletics Carnival, to assist with field events and timekeeping.  Please email tim.mcinnes@calvarycc.qld.edu.au if you are able to assist.
