Dear Parents and Carers,
Today was a perfect day to enjoy swimming and playing in the pool. Thank you to Mr McInnes and the team of staff, Junior School captains and parent helpers for making the Prep & Stage 1 Swimming Carnival such a safe and exciting event. Congratulations to all our little ones, who gave their very best effort today.
Booklists
Booklists have been finalised and are available in digital and hard copies. There are a few options for purchasing booklist items outlined in last week’s communications. Select the appropriate list for your child and purchase all items, or a selection of items, direct from Campion, or source booklist items at an alternative provider such as Officeworks.
Booklists for each stage can be found here, or on the College website. Orders through Campion are due Thursday 11 December.
Stepping Up to Stage 1
Next Tuesday and Thursday morning, the invitation is open to Prep parents who would like a tour and chat about Stage 1.
Stepping up to the next stage is a bit of a milestone for our students and it’s our intent to make this a smooth transition. Over the coming weeks, all students will experience time in their 2025 stage and meet a buddy who they can connect with when the new year begins.
Our official Step Up morning with new students to Calvary joining and Year 6 students travelling to Carbrook, is on Friday 22 November.
Awards Assembly - Photo Challenge
At the upcoming Awards Assembly on Wednesday 13 November 2024, we would like to showcase all of our exceptional Junior School students and celebrate some of their special achievements and passion areas. To do this, we are asking that you send in a photo (in good quality JPEG format) of your child/ren doing something that they are passionate about, something that they excel in or something they love doing. It could be of them doing a sport, cooking, caring for a sibling or anything else you can think of.

Tomorrow, we honour the work of our teaching staff for World Teachers Day. The Calvary team are a huge blessing to our community and to each other. It’s a privilege to work with educators who are deeply passionate about seeing our children flourish in every aspect of their lives.

Parent Information Session - Regulating Strategies & Tips
The Calvary counselling team will run a parent session on emotional regulation in Week 5 this term. Join us for an informative session on child regulation. Discover strategies to help your child develop healthy coping mechanisms and emotional regulation skills. Learn practical tips to support their overall well-being.

Parent Book Club
Dear Parents, we are excited to announce the launch of our Parenting Book Club in 2025 next year! This unique opportunity will be led by our counselling team and will focus on exploring key themes in parenting across different age stages, from Prep to Grade 12.

Sport Aerobics Come and Try
We are now inviting students who would like to try sports aerobics to join us at the following times. This is not a registration for the 2025 season; it is just a chance for your child to see what it is all about. Please use the link below to register your child for this opportunity.

New Music Bags
We are releasing a performing arts bag for students to be able to carry music books, guitar footrests etc. These will be available to purchase for $5 from Dr Holley at morning tea on Mondays in the reception. Please bring $5 cash if you would like to purchase one for your child.
The Jungle Book Kids
Reminder rehearsals are every week on Friday Mornings 7:45 – 8:30 in the Japanese Room. Congratulations to our leads and ensemble for successful placement in our 2025 show.

Performing Arts Soiree
On Thursday afternoon 7th November from 4pm – 6pm we will have our presentation evening in the Cunningham Pavilion at the Carbrook Campus. This will be a time when Individual students will be recognized for their contribution to the performing arts co-curricular program in 2024. More information will be sent shortly.
End of Term Recital
All students learning instruments in private lessons will have a performance on Sunday 17th of November in the afternoon. Please add this to your calendars.
