Parent Teacher Interviews, Chapel, Prep 100 Days
Dear Parents and Carers,
Yesterday we congratulated our final round of recipients for College Leader. It’s exciting to see all our leaders contribute to the life of the college through Playground Pals, Assembly and Chapel, as well as a variety of opportunities that arise in our co-curricular clubs. Staff investing in our clubs always welcome and appreciate the support of student leaders with the younger children. Those connections between students and their service orientated attitude are what create a beautiful culture.
Junior Showcase
Congratulations to all involved in Junior Showcase last Friday evening. Our Performing Arts students experienced and contributed to live performances, entertaining families across the college. The quality of items showcased was exceptional and a testament to the hard work of our students, their families and the Calvary Performing Arts team of instrumental tutors, Mrs Vezos and Dr Holley. If you are interested in taking up an instrument (or perhaps an additional instrument) next term, please follow the link below to register interest.
Semester Reports & Parent Teacher Interviews

Staffing Update- Dance and Music
We are excited to be offering Dance as an additional subject to the specialist timetable from Term 3.
Isabella Palmer joins us, as our Dance Instructor, with a long list of qualifications and industry experience. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and has specialised in RAD teaching along with formal training in jazz, tap, contemporary and performance dance. Miss Palmer will be working with each of the Junior School classes across both Carbrook and Springwood and will also continue building the dance program in our Middle and Senior School. The Australian Curriculum calls for our students to experience dance as an expression and we can’t wait to see Miss Palmer bring this to life with each of our classes.
The Junior School classroom Music program is in the very creative hands of Mrs Vezos during Term 3 as Miss Feilla continues to take leave. Mrs Vezos will be leading the Piccolo choir and supporting other areas of the Performing Arts program as needed.
Wear Your Colours – Free Dress Day / Compassion Fundraiser!
Tomorrow is our final day of term before embarking on 3 weeks holiday. It is Wear Your Colours free dress day, and we are collecting gold coin (or note) donations to go towards our Compassion Children. We have a Compassion Child per year level across the whole school. Our Missions Club students do a wonderful job writing letters to them. It is a special thing to be able to connect with and support their needs. Wear your favourite sporting team colours tomorrow.
On behalf of the Springwood Team and myself, thank you for a wonderful Term 2. We pray that all our families have some time to rest and relax over the holidays.
