Dear Parents and Carers,

Well, we are getting close to our first Chitty Chitty Bang Bang performance, and we cannot wait to show our community the talent and teamwork of our students. These spaces where our students truly stretch into their gifts and abilities including; sporting events, performing arts and competitions representing our clubs – all demonstrate their growing confidence, resilience and independence. We are so proud of the achievement and progress of every child.

SEMESTER REPORTS

Junior School student's Semester 1 Reports will be available on the Parent Portal, at the end of Week 1 of Term 3, on Friday 14 July after 5.00pm.  Further information about the Report formats will be in next week's Communications.

PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS

This is a valuable opportunity for you to discuss your child’s learning and co-construct some goals on where to next. Interview times are made by accessing the College Website or App. Bookings will be open tomorrow afternoon, from 3.00pm, and will close midnight Sunday 16 July.  Further information can be found via the button below.

CHESS CLUB

Earlier this week, members of our Chess Club took part in the Logan Primary Inter-School Chess Tournament. It was a great experience, each student participating in seven rounds against other schools in the district. All of our clubs have a purpose to give the children something to work towards, and help them visualise just where their passion and talent can take them if they choose to continue.

TERM 3 TUCKSHOP

As announced last week, next Term we look forward to being able to offer an additional over the counter menu on Monday's at first break!

To enable our Tuckshop to function we rely on the assistance of our Springwood Community.  If you are able to assist us just once or twice, or nearly every week, please indicate via the form link below:

READERS CUP CHALLENGE

Next Tuesday a team of avid readers are taking part in the South Brisbane Readers Cup. These students have worked with Mrs Wong for many weeks, reading the set titles and working their comprehension skills to put together a presentation, and be prepared to compete against 30 other schools. We wish you well!

MUSICAL UPDATE

With so many students involved, we decided yesterday that all the base costumes for students will be sent home with them today. For each performance over Friday and Saturday, please send children dressed in their full base costume; black shoes and socks, black leggings and white t-shirt, and they can wear their musical t-shirt over the top to protect it until we are ready to get hair, make up and costumes happening.

Thank you to every parent for your patience and support to our volunteers.

We look forward to the Matinee Performance tomorrow which all of our Junior School Students, from both campuses, will be attending.

As usual our last day of term, next Friday, will be a Free Dress day. Please remember our guidelines of no bare mid-riffs, make-up and inappropriate slogans on shirts. Please send students with a hat, closed in shoes and layers that can be taken off as they warm up throughout the day, all clearly named.
We ask that students bring a gold coin donation to support our Compassion Students.

Praying for an enjoyable weekend for everyone and successful performances for our CCBB Cast and Crew!
