Dear Parents and Carers,

Under 8's Day

There is something so special about watching our little ones faces light up with excitement seeing a fire truck, cuddling a farm animal, or bouncing to their hearts content on a jumping castle. The Prep and Stage 1 team provided an amazing Under 8’s Day last week, where every child could just relax and play. Parents, thank you for taking time from your busy schedules to support Under 8s Day.

Semester Reports

Junior School reports will be accessible via the Parent Lounge through the website or Calvary app, after 5.00pm on Friday 14 June. Parent teacher Interviews are scheduled for the second week of Term 3, (16 and 18 July).   Information about Parent Teacher Interviews will be distributed next week.

Happy Hens Tuckshop Volunteers – Term 3

With the number of students ordering tuckshop increasing all the time, we are appreciative of all the parent volunteer support we can get! The Term 3 roster is being put together so please send through your availability via this form and Sheryl will be in contact.  Happy Hens Roster

Junior Showcase

Tomorrow evening the talent of Calvary Performing Arts, Junior School students will be on display at this years’ Junior Showcase. Our Performing Arts program is growing, with many students involved in our choirs, ensembles and individual instrumental tuition. This Friday from 6pm, all of this will be showcased for the community to enjoy. Please arrive early if you’d like a snack from Mango Café. Performances will be scheduled throughout the evening at the Cunningham Pavilion and Performing Arts Centre at the Carbrook campus.

Wear Your Colours – Free Dress Day / Compassion Fundraiser!

Whatever your favourite sporting team, the final day of term is a chance to dress in their colours and show your support. Please bring a gold coin (or note) donation to support our Compassion children. Across the college, each year level sponsors a Compassion child around the same age as those students. Mrs Lourens and the fabulous Missions Club team are instrumental in collecting and sending the funds we raise as well as writing letters to our sponsors. Every donation counts!

Drought Angels - Hygiene Products Collection & Trivia Night Fundraiser

Our Year 9 Students are currently collecting Hygiene Product Donations to present to Drought Angels, during their end of Term 3 Service Trip to Chinchilla. Drought Angels will use these donations to create care packages for farmers who are hard at work producing food for us, and may not have the time or resources to care for themselves. 

Calvary students are asked to support this mission by donating any of the following items:

•  Manicure set – nail files, nail clippers, polish, cuticle oil.
•  Pedicure set – foot file, toenail clippers, foot scrub, foot cream.
•  Bath set – bath bomb, gel eye mask, tea light candle, body wash 400ml, body scrub max 400ml, body moisturiser 400ml max.
•  Shower set – shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razor, loofa, body moisturiser.
•  Bathroom accessories – elegant soap and toothbrush holders, tea light candles.
•  Men’s bathroom kit – deodorant, body wash 400ml, shaving cream, razor,
•  Ladies bathroom kit – deodorant, body wash 400ml, razor, dry shampoo 400ml, travel tissues.

Springwood Students are welcome to bring their donations to the Office before Week 6 of Term 3.
