Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been another wonderful week in the Junior School!

UNDER 8's DAY

There is something so special about watching our little ones light up in awe of seeing a police car, cuddling a farm animal, or bouncing to their heart's content on a jumping castle. The Prep and Stage 1 team provided an amazing morning full of activities where every child (and parent… I saw many joining in the fun!) could just relax and play. Thank you for taking time from busy schedules to support Under 8's Day 2023. We hope the children went home suitably tired and with memories of a wonderful day.

STAGE 2&3 ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

On Monday our Stage 2 and 3 students competed in our combined campus Athletics Carnival. Thank you to Mr McInnes, staff and parent volunteers for your support to ensure the events ran smoothly, and every child was safe and supported to give their best effort. The presentation of results and medals will be at our final Assembly for the term in Week 9.

CLUBS

There are many co-curricular activities on offer to the students. Each day there are multiple clubs being run that cater for all levels of interest. Our aim is to have every club work towards something that enriches the lives of our students and adds value to their experience at school. This can be in the form of working towards competitions or competing against other schools in competitions. Next Tuesday members of our Chess Club are taking part in the Logan Primary Inter-School Chess Tournament and we wish them well!

TUCKSHOP

Due to students being at the Musical next Friday, Tuckshop will not be available.  Students will need to have a packed lunch for our excursion to Carbrook.

Be on the look out in next week's Communications, for a link to register your availability to help in the Tuckshop during Term 3.  We are also excited to announce we will be able to offer over the counter menus on Monday's at first break.

MUSICAL UPDATE

Can you believe the musical is next week?!

With only a few rehearsals left, we are in the throes of polishing dance moves, scenes and cues for backstage set and prop changes. With a cast of 107 students from Years 2-6 across two campuses, this musical has been no small feat. Its success is testament to the commitment families, the courage and talent of our students, and the team of staff who will stop at nothing to provide an environment where every child can shine and grow. Thank you to all parents who have donated time to help at rehearsals, and costume items and also thank you to our major sponsors of the show.
Next Friday our Junior School students are heading over to Carbrook to watch the morning matinee performance.  Further information can be found in this link:
