We had the once in a lifetime opportunity of being selected by 3P Learning in conjunction with the Channel 9 Today Show to showcase our beautiful school for live broadcasts as part of the Today breakfast show on Monday 20 February 2023. The promotion was for World Maths Day and 3P Learning and we were thrilled to be a part of it!

The filming involved 7 live crosses with “Tim” from the Today show and our Calvary staff and student community in different areas of the Springwood campus.

We had 2-3 weeks to plan and coordinate the live crosses with the team from 3P Learning and Channel 9 which involved coordinating approximately 100 Prep to Yr 12 students, plus staff and parents from both campuses.

Some of our students were selected to have key roles as part of the promotion. Will Blake our Springwood Junior School Captain had the opportunity to take part in 2 breakfast radio shows and played a part in the Today show maths challenge. 

We had a great turnout of students, staff and parents on the morning who were all very excited to meet Tim and be on TV for the filming. The buzz continued for 3 hours and as the morning went on more students and parents showed up to be part of the fun! From the first broadcast at 4.40am until the final live cross at 7.40am, this experience definitely highlighted our College distinctive - Vibrant Community.
