Dear Parents and Carers
It is my pleasure to release our Term 1 cocurricular options to our community. Engaging in a cocurricular activity helps students develop new skills sets, new friendships, and a better connection with their school community. Tomorrow morning, we will ask our students to sign up (show an expression of interest) to our Term 1 cocurricular list – please encourage them to join at least one cocurricular opportunity across the year. We will add to and change some options across the year.
Mr Josh Wilson
Head of Middle & Senior School & Innovative Learning Design
NOTICES : Mr Arraiol (Head of Wellbeing and Community)
Calvary Photo Day
Please note that Calvary Photo Day is scheduled for 21 February 2024. On this day, student formal photographs will be taken, and all students are required to wear their formal uniforms. At this stage you should have received your order forms, if these have been misplaced please contact reception to be able to provide you with your Shootkey to complete your order online before the deadline next week.
Families wishing to have sibling photographs taken will need to arrive at the CCC between 8:15 and 8:30 am. A detailed schedule for the day will be provided in future parent communications. If your child is absent on the day of the formal photographs, there will be another opportunity for them on 29 February.
Year 7 - 10 Camps
Our Year 7 - 10 students are eagerly preparing for their respective camps, scheduled to take place from 14 - 16 February. These camps are a significant part of their educational journey and offer valuable opportunities for personal growth and team building. To ensure a successful and enjoyable experience for your child, please make certain that they have all the necessary items listed on their camp itineraries.
If you have any questions or need guidance on what to pack, please refer to the emails sent by our dedicated camp coordinators:
- Camp Coordinator Years 7-8: Nicole O’Donnell
- Camp Coordinator Year 9: Cameron Handley

STYMIE Reporting
Last week, during our first assembly of the term and at our meet the teacher evening, we discussed the use of STYMIE as our anonymous reporting system. We want to emphasize that the College takes all matters reported via STYMIE very seriously and will take appropriate action when provided with sufficient evidence.
To facilitate effective investigations, we kindly request that you provide the following information when using the STYMIE platform:
- Dates and, if possible, times of the incident
- Names of the victim
- Name of the accused
- Name of reliable witnesses
- Details of what took place
Please be aware that as the system does not allow the College to contact the sender, it is crucial to include the above information or we cannot investigate matters reported STYMIE.
General Notices:
Volunteering at Calvary
At Calvary Christian College we believe that when parents and carers are engaged in our community, everyone benefits. We want to make it easy for you to participate, and have many opportunities throughout the College where you can be involved.
If you are interested in volunteering at Calvary, please see the attached flyer which outlines what you need to know as a volunteer and how you can register with us.
Please note if you hoping to assist us on a regular basis, or more than 7 times in the year, you will require a Blue Card.
If you were registered in 2023, we ask you to please register again for 2024 so we know you are still active for Blue Card purposes.
2024 Government Student Residential Address Collection
Each year the College is required to submit data for the Student Residential Address Collection (the collection). The collection informs Australian Government school education policy and helps ensure funding for non-government schools is based on need. The information collected is used to inform school funding calculations. It is combined with Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data to calculate a non-government school community’s anticipated capacity to contribute to schooling costs.
