Reflection from Mr Wilson

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to Term 3. We have had a pleasant start to the term and hope your children have enjoyed returning to school.

Next week we have our Parent Teacher Student Interviews on Wednesday in our Culbert Plaza (Stage 4 building). There is still time to book an interview if you need to (bookings will close early Monday morning). If you are coming to interviews, I would encourage you to please bring your child with you so that they can engage with you and the teacher around their learning journey, celebrate their success, take ownership of how they are progressing and discuss strategies for improvement.

Our cocurricular options are restarting this week and Mr Arraiol has attached our options to this communication. If your child is involved in a cocurricular after school hours, can you please make sure they are collected from the activity at the right place and time. Most students involved in cocurricular sport need to be collected from the MPC carpark and students completing music/tutorials/etc., from the Western carpark. A teacher cannot leave a child unattended to wait for parent pickup, so please be on time for collection to respect our staff who have other appointments to attend. It is worthwhile encouraging your child to be involved in at least one cocurricular option each semester as they are valuable and rewarding experiences.

Mr Josh Wilson

Head of Middle & Senior School & Innovative Learning Design

At Calvary we believe that life at the College is more fulfilling and enjoyable when you are part of a community, involved and contributing. With this in mind, we encourage all parents/carers to review the co-curricular clubs timetable below with their children to see where they could 'find their place' at the College to express themselves and build a community with others who share common interests.

The Year 9 students are travelling to Chinchilla in the last week of school this term to be of service to the Chinchilla community and present our Hygiene Product collections to Farm Angels. Farm Angels will use these donations to create care packages for farmers who are hard at work producing food for us and may not have the time or resources to care for themselves. Year 9 students will visit form classes regularly to collect the donations that will "Help us Help the Farmer that Feed Us". We ask that donations consist of the following hygiene products:

Cafe Specials - Week 2 of Term 3

WE NEED YOU!!!!

At Calvary, you are invited to be an active partner in the education of your child/ren and we would like to invite you to provide us with feedback.

We are seeking feedback to help us get a greater understanding of what you value, what we are doing well and to hear about how your child's learning journey has been going.

This year we would like to invite you to attend an in-person session to talk with an external Marketing Consultant, Phil Winton. Phil has been working with the College as an external consultant since 2022.

The focus of these sessions will be to ask you a series of questions and work through and unpack your responses. This process will allow broader discussion and help provide us with a richer understanding of your feedback.

The Executive Leadership Team will not be made aware of who attended the sessions.

For parent registration, 3 sessions on Friday 26 July
