Reflection from Mr Wilson

Dear Parents and Carers,

As usual, as we approach the middle of the term, there are many events, activities, and achievements to acknowledge.

I hope you got a chance to buy tickets to our Shrek musical and I know that those attending will enjoy the wonderful talents of students and appreciate the many hours of work put in by students and staff to reach these performance days.

I would like to acknowledge the hard work of our Farm team, who spent the last week living and tenting on the Farm to assist in lambing season. The commitment and dedication of our Farm team is inspiring. If you would like to come and see our lambs, there are Community Lamb Cuddles this weekend, the 12th of May at 3pm down at the Farm.

There have been a range of sporting events over the past week. We had several students attend the Pacific District Trials for cross country with four students qualifying to make the district team for the South Coast Trials – and a special congratulations to James Barke for coming 3rd in his age group. Our volleyball teams attended the Rivers Championships at Coomer, with our Years 7/8 and 9 teams winning District Champions – well done to all.

General Notices

Calvary Bus Service

All students have now received their new 2024 Student ID cards.

All bus students are required to swipe their ID cards when boarding and disembarking from the bus.

Utilising student ID cards ensures:

  • Accurate tracking of all students using the bus service, enabling correct charging.
  • Provides parental tracking capabilities via the app, receiving email alerts when students board and disembark the bus.
  • Enhanced efficiency during the boarding and disembarking processes.

Failure to utilize Student ID cards for bus trips during Term 2 will result in an administrative fee of $1 per trip as these trips must be manually entered.

In the event of the newly issued ID cards being lost, replacement cards can be purchased at Reception at a cost of $5.

Key points to remember:

  • Rollcall accounts must maintain a positive balance for students to utilize the service. Credit can be added via the Rollcall app.

  • It is preferable that a booking is made via the Rollcall app for every trip taken on the bus service.
