Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to our Year 6 students and staff from their Canberra trip. It was definitely a memorable adventure and one that truly develops life skills and provides real world connections.

Year 5 students are heading off to Coolum on their camp in the coming weeks. Please pray for their health and safety over this time.

COLLEGE LEADERS

Congratulations to our recent recipients of College leader;

Emily Day
Zoe Hughes
Jessica Jansen van Rensburg
Annika Klavsen
Holly Nam
Emma Redgwell
Mitchell Snelling
Caitlyn Turner

We are blessed to have students who not only identify the leader within but have the courage to live this out and put themselves forward to be a positive example for others to follow. Our College leaders support the Year 6 Captains and Prefects in the work they do to provide student voice to the decisions we make, and to create and guard our vibrant and caring culture.

VOLUNTEERS

If you have a lot or a little time to offer, we would love to welcome parent volunteers to campus.

There are so many ways you can help out.

* Bookfair is coming up and a letter will go out asking for volunteers to assist with purchases during this time.
* Grandparents’ Day is also a place where parents are asked to ‘bring a plate’ for our grandparent breakfast.
* Tuckshop can always use an extra pair of hands.
* There is always a desire to have parent helpers in the classroom and we can be flexible with the time you can offer.

There are many events where we love to have parents assist – carnivals and excursions. Ask the office or email your child’s teacher if you can volunteer time in any of these spaces.

COMMUNITY NIGHT

Families, you are welcome to join in the fun of our first community night. Next Friday, rug up and bring your picnic blanket or camping chairs and enjoy a family movie and as much pizza as you can take. We want to bless our mums with a night off in the lead up to the Mother’s Day weekend.

MUSICAL TICKETS

The musical is coming together so well. This Saturday, the musical cast (not backstage or sound crew, sorry), will be rehearsing at the Carbrook campus auditorium. Students are to wear free dress and need to bring their Scripts, drink bottle, morning tea and lunch. We will be taking a deep dive into specific lead performances and dances, taking note of student sizing for costumes and, we're excited to announce, the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang t- shirts have arrived.
