Dear Parents and Carers

School is so much more exciting when your children are here! After staff planning days and lots of preparation, we have immensely enjoyed seeing our students learning and enjoying all of the spaces we have prepared for them.

Your children should have received their 2023 journal and also a very special commemorative badge to highlight our 40th anniversary. We look forward to celebrating this milestone throughout the year.

Student Drop Off

We have supervised areas for students from 8am. They can go to western carpark hanger, pavilion area up to mango cafe and the Gotfredsen area which is the area outside prep. Students have been reminded this week that they are expected to keep their school bag with them until 8.20 when they can drop their bag to their class (prep and stage 1) or neatly leave their bag where they line up (stage 2 and 3).

Unit of Inquiry

This term, we are exploring the concept of Identity in the Junior School. Please have a look at the overviews for each of the Stages.

Semester 1 Clubs

Please have a look through the cocurricular clubs that will be on offer for Term 1. We encourage all our students to get involved and try something new. These clubs will all begin in week 2.

We warmly invite you to come along to our Carbrook Junior School information night on Thursday February 1 from 6pm in the CCC. Hear from some key staff members before branching out into your child’s classroom for a meet and greet with the Learning Designers in each Stage. This year, we will send a recorded presentation with Stage information. This will allow us to use the classroom session time to address your questions and connect with you. Please bring along, or email us in advance, any questions you might have.

Stage 2 & 3 Swimming Carnival

Please see the letter's attached with all the relevant information about our upcoming Stage 2 & 3 swimming carnival and the Beenleigh zone trial nominations.
